Changes is a project to collect and document the hyper-recent history of change through Google Street View imagery.
With the modern pace of life, things can and do change from one street view image capture to the next. The recent addition of the time machine feature offers the ability to view the historic Street View images. Locations with strong Street View coverage will typically offer several snapshots in time of a given location.
A change can be as insignificant as the presence or absence of people, or the disappearance or construction of entire buildings.
The Google Street View service launched in 2007, and has been capturing and sharing daily life on and off the streets ever since. The time machine feature was released in April 2014.
Because it's interesting and it can be done.

Each change is set at one location. It includes two to three pictures taken directly from Google Street View demonstrating a change in environment. Click smaller images to see larger versions. A summary provides a brief personal description, and tags are added to provide more data. The tags can be used to find similar changes or ones in the same area.
A change's location can be seen on the map or can be used to show the current street view imagery.
